This is the story about the students who have taken SEED and have been transformed by this engaged learning experience. The video was coordinated by Student SEED intern Ashley Umberger and MMI Film Intern Raquel Salazar.
We are so pleased to share this clip from Lea singing at the Brink Lounge. Here's the short version: Lea's voice teacher Lynette Margulies invited us to her gig with Jane Reynolds over Thanksgiving weekend. We went, of course, and brought along Lea's grandmother Mema. During the show, Lynette asked Lea if she wanted to sing a song with her (with no preparation, mind you) and Lea was a bit hesitant. But later, Kimberly gave Lea a pep talk and during the intermission they conferred with Lynette and Lea decided she would try it. What you see here is my amateur attempt to capture the moment on video. Thanks Lynette, Jane, and the greatly supportive audience at the Brink for making this such an incredibly memorable evening for our family!
